The Security Council and the World Community are now responsible for the Rohingya crisis

The policy of further discontinuation of the UN and the international community to understand the Rohingya situation can accelerate a possible human disaster. The first investigation team of the United Nations Human Rights Commission, led by the former attorney general of Indonesia, described the situation in Dhaka as "deeply dissatisfied" on Friday. They saw the 'terrified and angry' Rohingyas in refugee camps. The question is, is it too much for the report of the awfulness of the situation and it is too early to accept the policy of waiting for the inquiry?

There seems to be no meaning to look at any attempt to mobilize the ongoing crisis on a bilateral basis. The Home Minister of Bangladesh is aware that the country will not do anything when the pressure on the country is low. Some countries, including the European Union, have restricted limited sanctions on Myanmar, but they are not adequate. It was necessary to take such steps rather than earlier. But when they have committed a serious crime against humanity, then there is no other option than compelling them with a specific time limit.

The time is running fast. The world community should remember that Bangladesh is temporarily capable of protecting and sheltering Rohingya refugees, but it does not have the ability to cope with long-term or final judgments. In spite of all-round and sincere efforts of Bangladesh, the situation may be out of control in a tragic way.

Now the international community, which is to be taken into consideration, is one of the neighboring Bangladesh of Myanmar, with its common border. The importance of avoiding the extreme step to block the path of bilateral dialogue with the country is not less. But it will be a grave mistake for the international community, if they rely on the consequences of bilateral negotiations to be a cornerstone of this horrendous crisis.

The Home Minister's visit to Myanmar has ensured that Bangladesh is trying to resolve the problem at all levels in a peaceful way. The result was effective from this tour, it was not very likely. Myanmar's immigration minister Thein Su said, agreeing to the reinsion does not mean accepting as a citizen. So, they did not even tamper with their genocide policies.

The responsibility of tackling such situation is therefore the international community including the Security Council. It is expected that the Security Council will pass the appropriate decision to resolve this issue and take initiative in its implementation. At the same time, the global community should come forward in support of any such initiative.
